About the Artist|
Lilla was born in Poland where she received an honours masters degree in architecture in 1983.
While studying for the architectural degree, Lilla also took courses in fine art and in art
history. Her coursework included drawing, painting and sculpture.
For the next four years Lilla worked as an architect on many diverse projects, including
two national award-winning designs.
In 1988 Lilla moved with her husband and daughter to the United Kingdom.
After several years of working as an architect in the South of England she increasingly
turned her attention to art, specializing in painting and also gaining experience in
printmaking, textile design, sculpture and ceramics.
In 1996 Lilla moved to the USA. She continued to pursue painting,
taking part in shows and competitions.
In 2004 Lilla and her family returned to the United Kingdom and now live in Wantage, Oxfordshire.
